This notice explains what data the public SKS Nutrition AI MCP server (the service AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and VS Code call at the server URL listed on the MCP page) handles. It covers only the MCP server, not the SKS Nutrition AI web platform.
The MCP server needs no account or sign-in. It does not set cookies, does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and does not ask for your name, email or other personal details.
The server receives the requests your AI assistant sends: the tool name and its inputs (for example an ingredient name, a search term or a list of formula ingredients with amounts and nutrient values), plus standard network information such as your IP address.
Do not include personal information or confidential formulas you are not comfortable sharing with a third-party service in tool inputs.
Usage counters for daily free limits: a one-way, salted hash of the caller's IP address (the IP address itself is not stored), the tool group and the number of calls that day. Counters are deleted after 90 days.
SKS does not save tool inputs or results to its databases. Error logs record the error message only, not your inputs.
GRAS notice search and retailer ingredient checks run inside the MCP server on public and SKS reference data.
Nutrition label calculation, RACC lookups, ingredient library search and sugar replacement send the inputs needed for that calculation to SKS services hosted on Microsoft Azure, which return the result. The MCP server runs on Supabase. These hosting providers keep standard operational and security logs (such as request times and IP addresses) under their own policies.
SKS does not sell or share data received through the MCP server, other than with the hosting providers above to run the service, or where required by law.
Tool results are provided for research and formulation support. They are not regulatory approval or legal advice.
